Dr. Douglas Josephides
Natural Medicine Practitioner | Over 25 Years of Clinical Experience
With more than 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Douglas Josephides brings a depth of knowledge and a proven, patient-centred approach to natural medicine. He has worked extensively with Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and nutritional supplementation, supporting patients across a broad range of acute and chronic health concerns.
Dr. Josephides is known for his ability to integrate multiple therapeutic modalities into individualised treatment plans. His clinical approach draws on Chinese Herbal Medicine, acupuncture (including needle-free techniques where appropriate), naturopathy, and targeted nutritional support, allowing care to be tailored to each patient’s unique presentation and needs.
He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chinese Medicine) from RMIT University and completed a year-long clinical internship at the Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. His commitment to the profession has extended beyond clinical practice, including serving as the founding President of the RMIT University Chinese Medicine Alumni Association and lecturing in Acupuncture Orthopaedics and Traumatology at RMIT University for three years.
Throughout his career, Dr. Josephides has worked collaboratively with a range of Western medical practitioners, including specialists in dermatology, cosmetic skin procedures, sports medicine, spinal and sports injuries, gynaecology, and pre- and post-conception care. This collaborative, integrative approach supports coordinated care and ensures patients benefit from both traditional and contemporary medical perspectives.
